Why "blob", huh?!
"Send" probably makes sense, but wondering why a media sharing platform is called "blob"?! Here's why — by definition, "BLOB" (Binary Large Object) is a large object data type in the database system. Typical examples of such data types include large-sized images, audio files, compressed files, and spreadsheet data. Common BLOB examples are: Video (MP4, MOV), Audio (MP3), Images (JPG, PNG, PDF, RAW), and Graphics (GIF).
